  • 10:00pm – Exclusive Celebrity VIP Party  – VIP Admission Holders only – with live entertainment and open bar! The party has been extened an hour – UNTIL 1am!
  • 12:00am – Opening Night Social Gathering at The Gig

  • 5:00 pm – 1980s Horror – Is this the best decade that horror ever had? – with Jason Lively, Felissa Rose, Caroline Williams & Mark Patton
  • 5:30 pm – Tips for Successful Podcasting – with successful members of the podcast community
  • 6:00 pm – COSplay: Getting Started – with professional COSplayers – more and more people are interested in costuming for conventions and other events, here’s some help in how to do it successfully, and effectively
  • 6:30 pm – Film Making 101 – from indie to blockbuster – with John Russo, Russ Streiner and other successful film makers who chat about their craft and the secret to being successful
  • 7:00 pm – Paranormal Issues – with The RIP paranormal team, Scott Porter & Stephanie Burke – the group discusses the current state of paranormal investigating
  • 7:00 pm – Rob Zombie’s Halloween 10th Anniversary Tribute Panel – with Daeg Faerch, Bill Moseley, Lew Temple & Sid Haig – followed by a screening of the film
  • 8:00 pm – FILM SCREENING – Ron Zombie’s Halloween 10th Anniversary Screening (immediately following the conclusion of the panel discussion)
  • 8:00 pm – Intro to Costuming – by Resident Evil Costuming
  • 10:00 pm – Photo Ops – Check-in with photo booth by 8pm for details
  • 10:00 pm – Exclusive Celebrity VIP Party (VIP Admission holders only) – Mix & mingle with the SCARE-A-CON Celebrity guests at this party with open bar and live entertainment – MUST HAVE VIP ADMISSION – PARTY HAS BEEN EXTENDED! Until 1am!

  • 11:00 pm – Mix & Mingle Party – this informal gathering will take place the “The Gig” night club at Turning Stone

  • 11:00 am – You Have a Haunted House? – a team of paranormal investigators answer questions and offer guidance
  • 12:00 pm – The “Best” of George Romero – with John Russo, Russ Streiner – a look at the work of the very influential film maker by people who got started with him and remained lifelong friends.
  • 12:00 pm – Victor Crowley (Hatchet IV) Discussion – with Parry Shen, Felissa Rose, & Caroline Williams – with the release of Adam Green’s Victor Crowley this panel will look at the film series and discuss its contribution to contemporary horror
  • 12:00 am – Horror Podcasts – the glue of our community – successful horror podcast hosts chat about why their shows have helped enrich the horror fan community
  • 1:00 pm – “Freddy’s Victims” – with Amanda Wyss, Mark Patton & Ricky Dean Logan – a discussion of the “Freddy Krueger” phenomenon, and what it’s like to be a victim of horror’s most famous villain
  • 1:00 pm – Donnie Darko Tribute Screening – with James Duvall
  • 1:00 pm – Photo Ops – Check-in with photo booth by 12pm for details
  • 2:00 pm – Acting as a youngster – with Jason Lively, Daeg Faerch, Felissa Rose, & Zack Ward
  • 3:00 pm – The “Killers” of SCREAM – with Matthew Lillard & Skeet Ulrich – followed by a screening of SCREAM
  • 4:00 pm – Horror Hodge-podge – with Felissa Rose, Mark Patton, Jason Lively, and Ricky Dean Logan – probably more laughs than scares, this open forum will take any questions, and expect any answer!
  • 5:00 pm – George Romero TributeNight of the Living Dead as introduced by John Russo & Russ Streiner
  • 5:00 pm – TBD
  • 5:30 pm – SCARE-A-CON Costume Contest – on the main stage – with prizes
  • 6:30 pm – Film Screening – Rocky Horror Picture Show Shadowcast – featuring Barry Bostwick & the “Kids of Albany” shadowcast troupe. “Props” will be available for sale during the day and at the screening. You cannot bring your own props for this showing.
  • 9:00 pm – SCARE-A-CON Batman & George Romero Tribute Party – at The Gig nightclub – costumes welcome, but masks prohibited in the club. This is an all-out monstrously great time! Cash bar and live entertainment!

Sunday, 10/8

  • 11:00 am – Convention Opens – VIP holders admitted first
  • 11:00 am – 3:00 pm SCARE-A-CON Film Festival Screenings (See Schedule)

  • 1:00 pm – Children’s (under 10) Costume Contest – kids (10 & under) can join this costume contest and parade through the SCARE-A-CON convention hall. Prizes for winning costumes. (Children must be accompanied by an admission-holding adult)
